This quilt grew like Topsy. I first made the little baskets and appliqued and stuffed the handles.
Then when I put some up on the working wall I realized what I had was a bunch of little purses
So I added the feet and now they look like purses with feet!

I inherited miles of the vine fabric, because it goes on and on, I named this quilt Kudzu.
If you aren't familiar with the Kudzu vine here are some images

we've been married 43 years now and only recently went from a double to a queen bed. My mind was still doing double size quilts when I made this and when I got it out to send to Becky I realized it was too small. Hence the acres of one inch squares, and of course more Kudzu.

I piece all my backs with simple patterns which shows off the quilting to advantage and gives me double sided quilts, twice the bang for the buck and half the storage problem.

Some long arm quilters refuse to do double sided quilts. Becky whizzes through them like butter.

I sent bamboo batting this time, Becky, any thoughts about quilting on it?
Thank you again!
I have had a few others use this batting and its works great. My problem is I read an article in a quilt magazine that said for it being for saving the environment that it is harder on the environment to make. Not sure if its true or not but that's what I read.

It is beautiful and the quilting is very complimentary to the quilt.
