Did Anyone work on a quilt this weekend?

I've been making up the blocks and rows for my friends Oriental quilt. After realising a minor problem with the finished size of the quilt (as it, it was huge!), and then making further adjustments of the blocks to reduce the size - so far, all is going ok!

I drove 5 hours on Friday, 5 hours on Sunday and planned to spend today backing, quilting and binding a lap quilt. I did get the sandwich made and spray-glued, but here I am on the board for a break and see that there's a new foreign film out I want to see, so that'll be a 3-hour break but when I get back I'm ready to fmq and attach binding. Or I may just relax.

Both of your quilts are very nice. Just set them aside until you feel better. Maybe get a quilt magazine or book so you can at least continue your therapy while recovering. Hope your back is better soon

I have almost finished a batik top and soon will have to figure out how to get it quilted fast... It is a gift for my girlfriend that I will be staying with when I go to Hawaii next week so I need to get busy!
Katier825 - what is the pattern (or is there one?) of your quilt? I love it!

This is the first weekend in about 4-6 weeks that I've had the chance to sew without either babysitting or having company...and yesterday I hurt my back. I managed to finish piecing a top and have the back cut, but not sure if I will be able to piece it. I can't sit too long or it's very painful when I do move. I have a very small area to sew in the bedroom, but no dedicated space to quilt. When I quilt, I have to rearrange things on the porch. I'm just not up to that and handling the weight of any quilts. Good thing none have a deadline! I'm disappointed because quilting is my mental escape from a stressful job...and it's been very stressful lately, so I need lots of "therapy" LOL.
Here's a picture of the top I finished.

I've been working like crazy on projects this weekend.
I finished a Bento Box - just need to bury the threads and bind it.
Next I started quilting a Churn Dash. It's about 1/3 finished. Hope to finish it today or tomorrow. The photo was when I was trying out sashing and borders (those didn't make the cut)
I made a dress for my granddaughter last week and a matching doll dress. I need to put the velcro on the back of both and give it to her tonight.

I am trying to finish up this UFO quilt. I don't know why but the back was not snug and smooth around ALL FOUR SIDES!! YIKES!! Trying to get the rest of the cross hatching marked. Probably will take me till tonight to get it done. The pattern is from Fons & Porter. The size of triangle in the magazine was a bit too small and when Fons did this pattern on the TV show, she made 4" finished pieced triangles which I thought were a little too big. So I ended up with 3.5" finished pieced triangles. Great for getting rid of scraps from the stash.
