Chronologically I'm 55. Mentally I still think I'm in my 30's, but physically some days I feel like the wrong side of 80.

I'm 38 (39 this year) and have two young children. I quilt because it's cheaper than therapy! Seriously - I won't get as much done this summer due to outside activities and the pool. The bulk of my quilting is done in the dark of winter after the kids go to bed. And I am lucky to get one quilt finished every couple of months. I see some posters that finish 3-4 or more quilts a month! Wow!

DH and I went to the recent Paducah quilt show in April and he paid his admission and walked around the quilt show/vendors, etc. along with my DD and myself - DD lives in Paducah. I asked him later what he thought the average age of the quilters was and he said "72 and they are all from Iowa". I said how to you know that they are all from Iowa and he said "because they are all corn fed" - meaning that they are quite "round" - as in our cattle that are corn fed!!!
