I found the arrowhead block on Quiltmaker and really like it, but reading it confused me.
At the beginning it says to trim the 2 blocks to 8X8. At the end it says to trim to 9X9????
I would make a test block first.

Anita has a Craftsy class called Traditional Blocks Made Simple. I just finished watching it last night and it is excellent. The class includes the Arrowhead.

The size is correct. You are using TWO fabric squares 8x8 and, combined, they produce the 9x9 block.
