MadCow,

That Gimbles is cute.

Steve,

Um, Singer huh??? That's is a really neat looking machine. I like that gear driven hand wheel.
Some folks think all sewing machines are Singers.

3-1 ration on a hand crank can go about as fast as I want to! My DGD needs slower than that - she needs 1 to 1.

I finally got this little old lady packed up to send to California.
I won't steal all the thunder - just a little sneak preview.

Here’s a Singer 185K that I converted to HC. His nickname was “Pistachio” (color of paint on the handcrank) and he lives in Texas last I heard.

CD in Oklahoma

And, he made a new base for her.

The dark line you see half way back on the new base surface is a piece of inlaid walnut to make a pin stripe. He also thought it needed drawers.

I know it isn't practical for carrying around but it sure is pretty to see. He did make the base longer on the left because he likes how my FW and 301 have that work area and thought this one should, too.

Hope you enjoyed seeing her as much as I enjoy looking at her.

My contribution, I like this little 128 handcrank.
Especially, how much control you can have! It came with a motor and light on it, and purchased a motorized model 99 at the same time, with the handcrank. I swapped em.
