    I love this pattern and as I said in the first posting, I made one in red/black/white for my DD for Christmas last year. I usually need patterns for my quilts as the math makes my head hurt! I will probably make another one eventually, but not right away. For those of you attempting this quilt, please make a mock up block first and put it on your design wall and look at it for a while. You don't want to make a bunch and then decide there is a color in there that doesn't work. It really is an easy pattern and i love the 3D effect. I called mine Stacked Crackers. Haha.

    I can see that the color choice is important the get the 3D effect. Are there any "rules" that would help us pick the right fabrics, such as color values?

    Thanks for this mini-tute. I have always liked this pattern and now I know how to do it, now I just have to figure out the crappy math part.
