It amazes me about my sister. I inherited my grandmothers treddle sewing machine and used it for years to sew on when I was young. I gave it to my sister to refinish the wooden frame NOT knowing that she was going to throw the machine itself away! She is more into "family" than I am and it shocked me speechless when she died and I got the cabinet back, minus the machine.. I hope it was the Alzeheimers that made her throw it away but everytime I look at that cabinet I think of my grandmother who taught me to sew and quilt!

That would have bothered me too. I probably would have purchased them and given them a good home.

Maybe you could cut and frame part of each quilt to display. That way, the quilt is honored and the love is still there for everyone to enjoy.
