well nix the idea of finishing out the green on Jabas to make a point. the point needs more than 6.5 inches to do that. now I am open to ideas ladies on what next.. Kelly its not so simple as just forget the last row and do as you want. this is someones quilt and I can't do that. I know stressing for the sake of stressing but its more than that. You are all my friends here and I want it to look perfect lol. yeah that's me, perfectionist (NOT).. lol
anyone having more luck with the one they are working on now? anyone working on any of them or did the fire burn out already? wouldn't that be quick if that happened. I love the challenge and think this could be a terrific day for sewing. wish me luck!

Brat - you could try something like in the pic below. I know the background color is wrong but you get where I am going.
Melinda - very center portion of the pic is Jan's center as I sent it to Linda.

ohhhh Paula I couldn't remember what border you put on thanks for the reminder. I also love the idea of the border for Brat. It is awesome.

Here is another idea (which I like better) The size and color is off due to the layering of different pictures - but I think you will get it.
I like how these HSTs echo more of Jan's center

Your bottom idea is more like what I was thinking but using less of the saw teeth (?) and making them larger as its a 6.5 round. I love the ribbon if I broke up the bottom with a 1" fabric strip. its so busy to me otherwise am I the only one who thinks that? the middle is a centerpiece of points. coming so close to that with more points could be overkill. but I am working on it. Thanks for the ideas. its nice to see it in actual pictures other than my horrific doodles. it gives me a better grasp on what it might look like. Your good Paula. Very good

YW Linda. I am visual too and, like you did, I saw the need for a clean strip before adding the ribbon - hence the HST one. I imagined it with the larger HSTs to balance it out just like you too.
What is it they say about great minds thinking alike? Could that be us?

Dear Paula, fellow great mind thinker how is your center coming along? have you another your working on or are you in the waiting mode? I have to do mine been sorta dreading it. This is JANS! she has been so good to me how can I do less than .. great for her yet me? great? oh bother. this is a challenge. She was kind enough to share a bit of her black/pink fabric with me she had three strips she could part with and I think incorporating a bit more of the black with floral in at this round is a nice foil to all the pink that otherwise could appear. then it will be ready for more pink in the next run. now armed with this great fabric I should make MAGNIFICENT if I don't please be sure to not point it out ok? hope everyone is stitching away! cant wait for more photos...

Silly Brat-- There's no way to convince us you're going to come up with anything less than gorgeous. We've all seen your work!
