Little Brown Bird Anyone??

I have decided that I must make this quilt. Is anyone else planning on making one?

well well, it's been more than one year ago. How are blocks going on?
I fell in love with this quilt as soon as I saw it, bought the book and started the first block

Annelu, nice work! This thread, which was started nearly 2 years ago, has not seen much action, so rather than add any more pictures to it, I started an album of all the Little Brown Bird blocks that I've done so far. I have half the blocks done and am currently working on the pansy basket. I don't do the blocks in order ... just whatever one I'm in the mood to do, and sometimes I do more than 1 at a time, if they have the same sorts of flowers and leaves.

When I click on the link I don't get a photo of a quilt. I get what is probably the first page of the AQS web site. What am I doing wrong?
Never mind! Googled pattern name and saw it. Very pretty! I love applique but it would take me forever to do this on! Have fun with it and show us some photos as you go!

I started looking for the book when this was first posted. I found it on Amazon for about $150.00. Too pricy for me, so I bought the cd. It was good for the patterns, but I still wanted the book. Patience pays off. I got the book on Amazon for $20.00 plus postage. It took a long time for the price to go down, but it did, and now I have the book. It is on my bucket list, but I have never needle turned appliqué. I just never could get the edges turned. I discovered another technique at a small quilt show, and now I am half way through my first project. My next project is AOTH. Wish me luck. Turns out I love appliqué. I think I like the patterns that are challenging the most. I finished the Omygosh quilt a little while ago and I am waiting for the wide backing so I can sandwich it and quilt it on my DSM. I only hope that I can finish this quilt and the Dear Jane in my lifetime. lol
