Oh my gosh can I relate...my son just told us last night that he, too, has a white coat ceremony. I didn't know they did that for dental school, but I guess they do!!! It is an exciting time, isn't it.....

I'm sure you will be very busy with the ceremony, etc. Just Google quilt shops in Denver you'll find more than you can visit I'm sure. Congratulations to your daughter.

Congrats to you and your family. It truly is a family celebration, i'm sure you have been with your child every step of the way.
I graduated a Phd student this past spring and I can tell you I just about burst with pride. She didn't get an MD so there was no white coat ceremony but there was a lovely ceremony seperate from the big graduation where her advisor spoke of her and her accomplishments

I'm in Colorado & if you are attending the Anschutz Center where the CU Med School is, here are a couple that aren't too far away.
New one on the small side is the Thread Loft: 15464 E Hampden Ave, on the Southeast corner of Hampden Ave & Chambers in Aurora. This one is in walking distance of my house. Too bad (or too good)the work schedule keeps me from doing so on a regular basis.
High Prairie Quilts is in Parker. They have expanded their space a bit and have a very good selection.
Holly's Quilt Cabin in Centennial, is a great shop. They have a large selection of fabric.
Creative Needle is in Littleton, off of Broadway and Ridge Road.
If I cannot find it at one of these 3 stores, I don't need it that bad.
There is also Fabric Expressions, (Littleton) and Tomorrow's Heirlooms (Thornton), Harriets (Denver) , Above and Beyond (Aurora and Thornton) which are more for sewing machines, but do have fabric, Sewciety, (Castle Rock)30 miles south and several that I have visited in Colorado Springs which is 60 miles south and Lovely if you have the time for a drive.
Congratulations to your daughter and happy quilting!
Susan
