I'm not a purist by any stretch of the imagination, but I do kind of like the idea of having one in there sideways. ;-)

You must be a rebel! LOL

I think because we are going to be looking at this for some time, use colors you love the best. I didn't do this because I wanted a patriotic quilt for our July 4th parties. If I took my own advice, all my quilts would be in jewel tons and aquas!

it is a shame that brenda behaves this way. i was surprised when she came to our guild show because her relationship hasn't been the best with them over publishing scholarly work.

her lecture was free and still people wouldn't attend it because of the conflicts that exist.

she does believe the jane is her's and she protects it with her life. i think its because its such a major source of income for her.

she is the reason no other books have been released except hers.
Thats too bad. Not surprised. She's not a quilter!

thank you so much ESQ for solving the mystery.
Is this the transparent paper? I've only used Carol Doaks newspaper on top, fabric below sewing the backside. What purpose does transparent paper make?

Blue your buttons are perfect!
I took a needle turn class for this project and I was not happy with my little circle in the center. I need practice.
Your buttons have inspired me!!! Giggles

and I must admit, I'm thrilled with how it came out. I pieced the block normally (rotary cut the pieces then sewed them together) and it came out perfectly.

Then I appliqued the diamonds (which are not quite as diamondly as I'd hoped, but never mind!)

You are the applique queen!!!!!!!!!!
