Here is the darling little quilt I received from Jean D. Featured in a magazine too! Hand sewn and she made the buttons, I love it. Also included are patterns with buttons that she makes, awesome! Everyone of you ladies is so talented and I enjoy every little quilt I see here. This is such a fun group.

We have a memorial service to go to tomorrow afternoon so I probably won't have yours ready to mail to you until about Wednesday the 25th! I had to locate the pattern first and then I added this and that to it but I am here and I am asewin'

The Trick or Treat quilts are so cute! Love the Frightful Cat Sight, Jean! Nice job, as expected! SapphireRae--beautiful Fall quilt! If I missed your quilt anyone, just chalk it up to my mushy brain at the moment. BTW, what is October theme?

That is very cute, and how does she make the buttons? I would love to know how to make some?

Hi June, I make the buttons with white earthenware clay and then fire them in a kiln. I know you can buy a polymer clay in the craft dept. I have never tried that clay but I've seen beautiful buttons made out of it. You can also find small wooden shapes and drill holes in them for buttons. I cut out the shapes with small cookie cutters. There are different places you can order them online. Just google mini cookie cutters. Some buttons I fire twice and glaze, but the pumpkin and cat head I paint with regular old acrylic paints! I love experimenting with different techniques with paints.....hope this helps! Don't be afraid to try different techniques and see what you like the best!
