Okay fabric box ladies I have a few questions. I made two of these today (they are so addicting!). The first one was a 12" square with one layer of batting; to me, it seems very "floppy". I would prefer it to be more "stiff" when completed. The second one I made was an 8" square with two layers of batting - that one came out exactly as I wanted.
So, what did I do wrong on the first one? Are the larger boxes usually more floppy, or did I just use a too-thin piece of batting? Or maybe, I didn't quilt that one quite enough? I used the square pattern that everyone else is doing, but on the second (smaller) box naturally the quilting seems a little bit closer together.
Any hints or tips would be so very appreciated!

Love the fabrics you used. Aren't these little charmers addictive!
I just finished one for a BD gift and made it to dress up a jar of Bubbies Saurkraut which is a great treat for kraut lovers. Just shows you can put anything in them!
peace
