I don't post a lot but love reading what you all say. My partner does not post a lot either. So I hope she's like me like SURPRISES and things she put on her paper. I do like jewel tone fabrics or bright colors. I will be Thankful of anything. I enjoy doing the different swaps and sharing with you ladies. FUN FUN FUN

This is not my first SS. I did not realize the chit chat was sorta expected. Last times, I just bought the stuff, mailed it, posted photo , said thank you. I have no problem leaving clues, hints, jokes, etc. but not everyone knows this is part of the game. Optional, obviously. Let's just have fun.

Well, this sure leaves me out! Texas sure ain't small!!

By the way, don't you have a furbaby? Dog? What kind?? As long as I've known you, I've never known furbabies name or even your DH's!!

What is shabby chic? I had another partner on a different swap that also liked shabby chic. Guess I am dumb, but do not know that type of style.

When I think of shabby chic I think of kind of old and romantic in soft colors like soft rose and blues and violets and greens and whites and creams. Maybe someone else can add to that. You can, also, google "Shabby Chic Decorating"...I, also think of over-stuffed furniture and embroidery and lace.

Not at all dumb. I had to look it up and then realized it's something I've always liked. There are probably different types of the style but it's basically things with an aged look. The quilt, I'd like to make, will be delicate florals, in soft, almost faded-look colors. Think of something you'd see on a grandparent's bed, that's been around for years. Of course, I don't want to use old fabric, just fabric that has an 'old' look. I'm thinking soft blues, pinks, lavenders, greens, and grays, along with off-whites. I've seen a few and they just look sooooo cozy and comfy!

I think Wonnie described it better.
