I lost my MIL just 3 years into my marriage, and she lived in another state, so I hardly knew her. But I try to be a good MIL to my 2 DDILs. One called me one day and said to me, "If your son and I get divorced, will you still be my MIL?" I took that as an extreme compliment. She and I have a wonderful relationship, and have lots of fun fabric shopping together, even though she doesn't sew. And she LOVES to go to quilt shows with me. What can be better than that.

Still haven't heard from the one ornie recipient. She hasn't posted either, so I guess she is either busy, or not interested in our mishaps and misadventures.

I for the most part get along with my in-laws, dont get me wrong I would take a bullet for them but they do have a way of finding the worst in things, mostly me. We just come from different worlds, them here in the country and me from a big city and spent alot of time here with my family. I just think they dont get or understand me is all. They are the same with my SIL who is from the city too. With that said we all have each other backs when needed and help each other all the time.

Too excited, these vintage spool ornaments are coming out great. Takes a bit of time to assembly but so so so worth the outcome.

Oooo jamimclaugh sent me two beautiful ornaments, a round ball, same on both sides, and a crocheted heart, red on one side and beige on the other, love them both, Jami, thanks so much!!! Ans she sent me about a 20" square of Christmas green with tiny gold polka dot fabric -- my xmas stash is small now so is very much appreciated. They arrived yesterday but didn't go to the mail box until this morning.

mdal, love your rose! And I have seen those ornament holders at craft shows, I made a bunch for my sister last year. Aren't they beautiful?

The vintage spool ornaments are finished. I am really pleased the outcome of most of them. One could use a little help but only had some many beads to match that one so I think Ill keep it for myself. Most of the others have a home they are going to.

My partners may be getting one you never know.

Lynnie, I bet I know which one you would like. As soon as I picked it up and matched with beads I thought of you.
