i think this has something to do with the tension as well as the operator. Lol
i have my tension set at 4.5 on my Horizon 12000. Anyone have this machine who knows what I should do? All suggestions welcomed.
Glad you've been able to sort out the tension! They are really attractive; I, too, would like to know where you obtained the pattern, please!

The pattern is from another QB member, Frenchfryqueen: Fabric Box Tutorial and My Results.
    http://seaside-stitches.blogspot.com...-tutorial.html

i bought a precut layer cake so my gift boxes will be made using a 10x10 square. The orange one is made with 14x14 squares and is bigger but more time to invest when I need to make 20 so decided on the smaller size.
They are fun to make - the most time consuming task is the quilting. I have a table runner that I want to quilt so testing out different stitch patterns as well as getting more comfortable with the process.

Thankyou again for your comments, encouragements, and helpful suggestions. They help lift my spirits as it's been 3 years today that my mum passed away and I miss her very much.

I had the same problem with my machine.
I changed the needle and the bobbin and that fixed everything.
I had adjusted the tension and nothing helped until I remembered the simplest fix is sometimes the correct one.
    It is worth a try.
