I agree with this plan. Make them all the same. How old is your granddaughter?

I would think that if the blocks are all the same, it would be fine. Go for it!

I did that once too and remember how much I cringed when I saw what I had done. I would just let it go, chalk it up to a learning experience and go on from there.

You all make me smile...you are so encouraging! I'm new to quilting, I've had the same thing happen, I beat myself up, but not anymore, going to look for the positive. Love this board!

If anyone is RUDE enough to point out anything, just put on a haughty look, and say, "It was planned that way." Yep, that should do it, and now you ARE planning to do it that way. So what if you took another path. Who is to say what's right or wrong? It's YOUR quilt until you give it away and no granddaughter I know will even care about points. But she WILL care that you spent the time to make it for her. :-)

Make it and gift it with a smile. Don't say anything and they will think it is planned. Never admit defeat!

Guess you could join the blocks with sashing then applique points on some of them to make it look 3-D.

Don't even mention it! If you do it will just draw their attention to it.
