I will always be on the look out for them now. I just came across this one, and wasn't even at the dollar store. I was at a little grocery store, to pick up something and seen those and for a dollar. But yes at the dollar store they would be in all sizes. Great tip.

I love that square pincushion it's off kilter. I saw a tut on it, one I must try, is it difficult to get the whole thing even?
what was going thru that person's mind that day, " I think i'll make an off kilter pincushion.' I know, I've done my share of weird thinking, that's coz i'm far out of the box, but it's kinda cool/

on another note, I made a great cake for my dear friends b day today. two layers of fudge brownies with chocolate ships and chocolate frosting between the layers and on top. Just had to tell all you choc. fiends out there.

That cake sounds yummy lynnie. I will have to keep that in mind. Lots of chocolate lovers around here. My husband loves chocolate, and he has a birthday right on Christmas Day.

This is the cute squirrel pin cushion Jami sent me. She also crocheted a acorn nest for it. Sorry for some reason there is a lot of glare and it is off color. It is all blinged out and has 2 pretty snazzy pins in her shoulder. I love it. I had a good laugh at the surprise of it. really it was done up very nicely and took a lot of time I'm sure. My great grand-daughter who turned 4 last month I know will want to play with her. She loves coming to the farm and seeing all the cows and chickens,dogs cat,real squirrels and rabbits and deer and on and on. This was very creative and enjoyed so much. Thank You Jami (JamiMclaugh) we were partners before in the secret pal swap.Jami also sent the piece of brown fabric. Mary

lynnie - I don't know about making one of those fudge/cake things. It sounds devine, but my waistline is growing just reading your description of it. LOL.

rosebud, make two layers of brownies. put chocolate chips in one layer, dark in the other. frost like a cake with fudge frosting. eat and get a sugar rush!!! stay up all night and quilt

That squirrel pincushion with the acorn is so cute. Lots of creativity on this board. Is that little acorns in the fabric? My eyes aren't too good.
