IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE! I (finally) have a beginning block to start with. I do not know that I can get it done, ready to head back out by the 1st- but I will do my best to get us back on track & moving forward now that I have something to work on- will try to take a picture of it and post it soon (before I start adding to it) I don't see where Nexxus831 did that before she sent it. just so happy it is here.

Ckcowl I am so glad it arrived. Now just need to wait for the center to be sent to me. I also can't post pics right now so if you could do that it would be great

here is a picture of the block that I received to start working on my first section of our round robin- it is from Nexxus831.
if any of you have any ideas on this one- please share- it *at the moment* has me pretty stumped--but I just got it out a little bit ago, so haven't had much time to 'ponder'.

Yea!! I'm so glad things are back on track. I know that musicaljan will be getting her center mailed out to Nexxus/Melinda this next week and then we can officially chalk ya'll up to "full strength".

Thanks everyone for sticking with this amid the turmoil.

Ckcowl, I really like the block. I might use a drk brown and add it as a window casing. Maybe 3 in. Then what ever for additionial round. Maybe just a small 1.5 border all the way around then what ever you want for the rest of your round. There are lots of colors in the block to work with. I know that it will be pretty what ever you choose to do.

To introduce myself I am lestrong601. I am doing a RR in this group but with the Cardinals.

thank you for the ideas= I was 'leaning' toward framing, then carrying on- but was not sure if that would be an ok way to proceed- since in her journal she stated she wanted a 'window garden quilt' - glad to *hear/see* someone else kind of sees it the way I do for continuing = I will figure it out- part of my problem is looking at it yesterday---I had the most *non- productive, frustrating* weekend I've had in ages- one of those that seemed like no matter what I tried to work on it was 'Wrong!' just couldn't accomplish anything....I hope it's over now with Monday morning-fresh start!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day yesterday; I know we did. It was the first time in 40 years we were back to just the two of us and it felt very strange. But all 3 kids and their families will be here for Christmas and we're looking forward to them and 4 grandchildren to liven things up. Tomorrow starts Christmas decorating and I've already started the baking.
Can't wait to see everyone's first row on the centers. I'll be posting a picture tomorrow!
Happy Quilting to all.

I woke up at 2:16 this morning & was still awake at 3am so I decided to get up & get something done! managed to get that center block done and it turned out ok- still need to photograph it then I will get it ready to move on- so only a few days late after waiting over a month to get it in the first place. now I hope we can all be more 'on track' with this project. I hope everyone is enjoying the season === will probably have that block on it's way in tomorrow's mail & will post a picture over the weekend.
