I am sorting my scraps for this project. Wu- huhuuu.

My WH is also in the beginning stages. There are twenty four blocks to get started for the first part and I have sixteen finished. It is a mystery to me how this idea is going to work out in the end.

I was given a big stack of 2.5" PP square in a square papers and the first part of the WH will use these and .................

plaids! Can't wait to see it come together. The more little blocks I made, the more I liked it.

Sorry but you will have to wait for some pictures till Wed night.
peace

Hi everyone, I mentioned earlier that I have started my WH and here is a sneak peek at what I am planning.

I want to use these gifted papers that have been in my file for a few years now. I also want to do something with the coming of Spring. The papers are 2.5" sq.

It will be a landscape quilt moving from ground to sky and a special something in the foreground that I haven't started yet. The blocks will shade to a lighter blue as they go to the top and darker more saturated colors at the ground.

This is just the beginning of the background:

The first block:

Several laid side by side to see the effect:

I really love this effect. Thanks for looking.

Holy cow Ube. Combining both paper piecing and plaids! I can't do either - I always mess up the plaids and I HATE paper piecing. Its impressive!!!! I am almost rethinking mine......

Hi J, This is actually a simple PP block and The only feature I am looking at is where the lights, mediums and darks are in the whole picture so there really isn't much fussing at all. Just the blending between each area. It is best to view with fuzzy eyes when assembling. But then that is the way I usually look at things!

For once I haven't even started yet. At 13 below here right now, I'm seriously not thinking about spring. Well sort of I guess, but it is called praying for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw the pattern on the board but no directions so I had to try and figure them out - as a result I think I cut things wrong because I keep cutting off the points!!!! grrr - hopefully no one will notice. Also my first attempt at an all over FMQ pattern rather than quilting within each block.

Ohh I like it!!! It looks like a variation of the friendship braid pattern.
Very nice, thanks for sharing it with us!
