Welcome to all who have decided to join us in this adventure. I am keeping a list and have about 45 who've said they are going be working through/continuing on making the blocks in 2014! I can't wait to get started.

Scrapper--Yes, I think the 7 yards for background was recommended for the 12" blocks.

LOL. the joke is on me. Ok I went looking for my book and I have the 50 small paper pieces book. NOT the 50 stars one. Oh darn ( I know you all are so sad to hear this), I will just have to buy the book. Or better, ask for it for a Christmas gift. Hmmm better get started on that one. I am definitely doing this. What material to choose....All these difficult(?) decisions to make. I am thinking of a white background......Has anyone done one with all white background with the stars being lovely colors??????

Whitepine's blocks are gorgeous! Thanks for the link Carrie!

Urgodschild, what a pity you have to buy another book

thanks for the link.....I really like the white background. I have time to think about it. Well I asked my daughter for the book for Christmas....so I will wait to see if I get it. She like ordering on line and not going out into the stores.

I'll probably show my blocks on my quiltville mystery blog, is anyone here 'puter efficient to make us a little badge for blog sidebar? We could link it to this thread.
I have a friend Judy in Virginia who is going to be joining in also.

Looking at finished tops, the four or five blocks that have colored corners or sides won't get those on my blocks. To me they make the beauty of the star look cluttered.

Hi

I would love to join in I have the book and went out on the weekend and brought my some of my fabric, I am going to do a sample of the first block tonight to see that I have traced the pattern correctly before cut my fabric.

I watched this years one and loved everyone blocks, that's when I brought the book to do sometime down the track, not thinking of it starting up again so soon but now I can't wait to start it and see what everyone else has done.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a very safe New Year

Good bye for now hear from you all in the New year
