I made a scrappy batik quilt several years ago that incorporated lots and lots of darker batiks. I used lots of different beige prints to balance the batiks in large areas of negative space and quilted it in feathered designs. It was fun to make and I really enjoyed quilting it.

Scrap Basket Quilts is the name of the book I like. I am in progress for the one on the cover. It has a lot of nice patterns for batiks.

It looks pretty good so far.

Sorry about the first 3 photos. I don't know why they have that blue cast. The colors of the blocks are pretty close to the real colors.
Wow!! These are nice!!!

I agree with alisonquilts. Stained glass quilts with batiks are beautiful.

They are beautiful, and the black sure makes colors stand out.

I think batiks would make any quilt block shine. I can picture them in many, many different blocks, no favorites, sorry.

[h=1]Batik Gems: 29 Dazzling Quilt Projects [Kindle Edition] by Laurie Shifrin[/h]Oh dear! It looks like my favorite book of quilts made from batiks is out of print. Thank goodness I bought mine when it first came out.

It's worth buying if you can find it.

I love your quilts, they are gorgeous. I don't care which way they are put, I love them.

I am working on a pattern now that is batiks. It is called "Over and Under" designed by Paula Hughes

Here is the picture of it on my design wall, still needs to be sewn together.
