The blue quilt I posted does have long tails but I trimmed them after that photo because they bothered me too! it's yarn so after washing they will fuzz up and not come apart.

There are some great quilts here that have been tied.

I've tied many a quilt. I have the quilting frames from my mother-in-law who got them from her mother-in-law, who got them from . . . . I don't know. They may well be over 100 years old. I stapled denim on the sticks so I could pin the quilt on with very large safely pins, and use bolts to hold the corners. I also have C-clamps to use when the holes don't quite line up when the ends are rolled in, but are seldom used now.

I noticed that a lot of the quilts shown here are very simple patterns using larger squares. But some are quite intricate. My granddaughter made a Twister quilt for her brother; we tied it, and it is beautiful. Right now it is hanging in the library. They change quilts every few months. I've seen a lot of beautiful quilts there. And I love all the beautiful quilts shown here, too.

This is a quilt I made my grandson for Christmas. The patchwork portions are all tied using different brightly colored yard and the rest of the quilt is done by DSM. Just learning how to machine quilt so it is not perfect by any means. My grandson loves to play with Legos and my son used to wear a lot of Hawaiian shirts so I thought I would try to combine both by giving the Lego men wild shirts.

I tied this disappearing 16-patch because the [free] batting was so very thick. My ties are pretty invisible and I dotted the knots with glue.

I love the idea of blind tying. I have a small top done that I'm going to try it on.
