I finally found two of your suggested centers at the following web site:
http://Quilting.about.com
On the left, under Browse Topics, I chose Quilt Block Patterns.

glad you located it I simply did a block search in the top right corner it comes back with a long list of things about half way down its right there after the ads. is anyone up yet? long night??? silence amazing all those posts and now silence.. maybe I need to go back to bed and rest a bit more. I think I could have slept in a bit longer but the cats had other ideas.

I think we all are excited about the possibilities and have visions of them dancing in our heads. Everyone Trying to decide which we are planning on doing, I've got mine picked out, now to just clean up mess and pull fabric.

I'm going with the 9 patch as I feel I need a simpler border for the kitty this round. Have auditioned colours and am happy. I am using one Laurel Burch plus two different tone-on-tones. May get a mock-up done today. Then again, maybe not.
Thanks a lot Elisabrat and Jaba.
And Happy New Year everyone.

HOT darned it works! it needed that www. part phew I figured it out thanks to themamahauser

I have an alternative solution to make the first row easier yet. Do a row of 4.5" blocks or a four patch of 2.5" inch blocks sewn together. You will still start out with a row of blocks and it looks good any of those three ways!

It is 17-1/2 inches square and 24-1/2 point to point.
