what a terrific way to put 'orphan's ' to use! I love this- and just yesterday I came across 4 or 5 orphan blocks and thought....what will I ever do with these? - put them back in the closet....now I have an idea what to do with them! I am sure she is going to love this- i'm sure my mom would love this.

I love it, beautiful, love the idea of making an ordinary calendar into a work of art. Love it!

Very pretty and a clever idea for those big calendars.

Love your calendar holder and the pen holder! What a wonderful idea - thanks for sharing it with us.

Any hope for a tutorial?

Oops - went back in the thread and discovered the pattern. Thanks!

When I make items to hang on the wall I fold a square of fabric on the diagonal and attach to top two corners, then sew the binding on to encase the raw edges. When finished binding, insert a small dowel between the corners. I sometimes made a little hanger tab to slip on the dowel before inserting in place. I can then hang it from any picture hanger, or nail in the wall.
