Emma S that will work out fine. Add your 2" border all the way around, then put on your 4" and you should end up at 36 1/4" square. The next round of 6 1/2" unfinished will be fine. (6 into 36= 6)

Adding a picture of the outside row fabric, hard to see in other picture. This fabric is where I'm going to draw some of my colors from. Inside purple fabric is one of my own hand dyes.

Wow, was I ever behind! Had to read 12 pages. This is the only email I have read today. Took me all day. Well, I did a few other things too. Haven't started my center block yet but I have plenty of inspiration now after seeing all the progress pics.
Linda, I was waiting for your post to see the blocks you suggested and they are the same ones I pinned. Oh, well. I can't even decide what fabric to use. I think I will go scrappy.
