Its the white and the pale pink the are fighting with each other. The pink because it is so pale and basic while the white has a texture to it. If you had used a pink that was not so pale and had a tone on tone it would have been fine. I also think that if you had used a cream tone on tone and the pink was tone on tome or marbled it would have been fine. Also the floral print is throwing the quilt a bit off. As a whole it is a lovely quilt. I do like the fabrics on their own just not in the combination that you have done. Maybe if you had switched the pale and darker pink it would have blended better. I do like it but it is not my cup of tea. As for the quilting maybe swirly and flowers mixed together to enhance the floral top? Good luck.

I would change the small inner border to a bright pink like the corner stones and quilt the pale sashing with a bright matching pink thread.

you got some great suggestions here.
Putting some darker pink appliques would keep you from
having to "rip-it"

I like it very much!
If it needs a home mine is waiting!
Perhaps, if you need more pop, remove the dark border,
add the brighter pink as border and then bind it in the dark print.

Most definitely not ugly, but I agree with almost all of the others. A brighter or deeper shade of pink for the pop if you must change the frame color. If you are not intent on changing the color what about an appliqued curved vine trailing down part or some of the frames?
Perhaps quilted roses on the lighter color with the leaves, stems, or simply swirls on the darker colors?
