Karen, love your Alaska block. The white background makes the color in the other pieces pop wonderfully.

I am making alternating backgrounds, black or white, 25 of each. I am only using Kaufman Kona Solid Cottons. That way, I can purchase many different colors, as much or as little as i want over time, and never have to worry about a big purchase or running out of fabrics that are available.

My Alaska Block. I'm making a few ahead too, as we never know what the year will bring us that blows us out of the quilt room
I love every single color choice that have been shared, I don't think you can go wrong with this quilt

I always put a bit of spiderweb in every quilt.

Love it when there is more 'eye' candy to see of a morning; cannot pick a favorite, they are all great! Lovely to see and enjoy this morning. Thank you all for sharing!

well i ladies, i learned about the joys of the add a quarter ruler this weekend! love it!

and i almost done with alaska. it looks really good. i am liking my colors. i dont know how everyone else chooses colors but i think to myself, what reminds me of this state. so alaska has some green for trees blues for water... for arizona i set aside some desert type colors. hopefully i will finish alaska tonight and cut arizona.
