I have had problems in the past with the cardboard flat rate envelopes but never the padded ones because of the "tyvex" material it's made of, they're hard to tear into. I also make sure there's enough tape on them. The padded ones you have to order online from usps.com. Those are the only ones I deal with anymore because I've rec'd at least 2 pkgs in the past (not necessarily from this board) that were torn open, and how the mailmen can deliver something like that w/o losing some stuff inside, is beyond me!

Lovely packages coming in. I received a delightful package from Grandma Peg last week, and have been negligent in posting pics. I received lots of fabric, a charm pack, notepad, hand warmers, bookmark, needles, and a cow patty candy made with Wisconsin cream. I ate it on Sunday and it was delish! Thank you so much, Peg!

Just had to share. I made a duvet cover, 2 king size shams and some pillows for a friend. She blessed me with a $100 gift card to Joanns. I went last night armed with my 8 coupons and between sale items and coupon items I got all pictured below. The total was $283.09. After all deduction, I left the store paying $82.83. I am making a casserole carrier, feetless jammies, and a new purse for myself. All things I wanted but would never have bought the stuff to make for myself.

Thank you Catjo for the lovely package you sent me. I love everything. She sent me 2 quilters magazines, a package of pins, a note cube, notepad, several patterns, 4 fabrics in shades of browns, a cool little stelleto made with brown and white beads. And a pattern, fabric and beans for a schnibbles bag which I think may be a pincushion. I cant wait to make it. Thank you again Catjo. I will attempt to post a picture.
I'm glad you like everything. The schnibbles bag, is a pincushion that holds a little fabric cup for your threads when you cut them off when sewing. Enjoy! Cathy
