This is a wonderful sample of a great quilt. The colors are lovely, the piecing is expert and the quilting enhances the beauty of the whole thing! Nicely done.

I have a user group and we all have the HQ andProstitcher. But you still have some free motion to do.. .Get a panel and color it with thread... There's something in the mind about a panel that doesn't feel as intimidating... and keep at it. Watch lots of youtube machine quilting videos... have fun!!

No Trapunto... two layers of batting the top one being wool.. I think the bottom is very light weight maybe quilters dream... she had it so not sure. I feel very fortunate that she gives me these quilts to do.. every time they have been a challenge. But she pushes me to something new... One of the first quilts i did for her she wanted metallic thread... I said are you kidding.. I can't do metallic...well i though about it and tried it... was perfect... not one break of thread on a queen size quilt... so she is always giving me something that teaches me too. She's a wonderful piecer. You can't straighten out a bad pieced quilt ... so I always know her quilts will be straight!

You two do fabulous work! It's a gorgeous quilt. I'm glad you finally returned to it. It's great eye candy for us.
