Carpenter Square is a Queen size and you can add borders/sashings.

He doesn't want to use it, because his MOM made it for him. They hung it on the wall, from the ceiling, like a headboard. I COULD HAVE MADE A WALL HANGING!!! KIDS!!!
However, as you can see it was easy to make, & I used up a LOT of odds & ends fabrics.
Does anyone have a link for this quilt so I can bookmark it.
Love the finished quilt and guess it would make a wonderful headboard.

Turning Twenty is one that is fast and easy; however, you would have to purchase the pattern. Jenny Doan's Double-Slice Layer Cake is another, and her tutorial on YouTube is free.

Rail fence is easy; color choice can enhance the look; number of rails can also be an added interest.

My quick pattern is the Irish chain, make a bunch of nine patches with certain color in middle positions, plain squares with the same certain color and the same size as nine patches, put them together in alternating design. Easy Peasy.

I recommend Quilter's Cache. All sizes, all designs, whatever you would like to do. I see a pattern I want to use and I print it out. I have used the same patterns for years. I love them and their instructions are so easy to follow, not to mention they tell you how much fabric you need.

I love makiing Sampler quilts, which are quite easy in and of itself, and I usually make 12" blocks for my quilts and if I see a special 10 inch pattern, I just frame it with complimenting fabric. I swear by Quilter's Cache. Edie
