It is a work of art in my opinion. So simple, yet beautful.

I agree each quilt is a labor of love and your gift is beautiful.

Beautiful! Irish Chain is one of my favorites. Where did you take your quilts for appraisal? Mine are not worth the time of it I am sure. But it would be interesting to have them appraised to see.

Girlfriend, I think I used 7 colors with 4 shades/tints of each, so 28 fabrics. I cut them from fat quarters.
The pattern is the Desert Nine Patch shown in Keepsake Quilting Winter 2013. The blocks are on-point in that quilt, but I didn't put mine on point. The size of laying the blocks straight fit my dimensions better. I also like the diagonal lines in that layout.

postal packin' mama, here is the quilt that was appraised at $1,725 by an AQS certified appraiser. I was shocked! It was a block of the month quilt, Ramblin' Rose Meets Jamestown by Marti Michell.

Thank you for all of the comments. It was an easy pattern but time-consuming. I had to trim the seam allowances of all of the corners of the nine-patch blocks to be sure they did not shadow through the top when pressed toward the plain square block.

iwillquilt, the appraiser was a judge at our local quilt show and did appraisals after she finished judging.
