Terri, you have a magnificent job on your scrappy. It will be even more beautiful when it gets all the quilting done on it. Please post the finished project. Thanks for sharing.

well my goodness i never expected 7 pages of compliments! you have all really flattered me! i am going to make another one; have the fabrics picked out; a bit more controlled for this next one. to answer your question patski, no it was not hard at all. it was, however, EXTREMELY tedious. i started out by just making a few pieces here and there when i wanted "no brainer" piecing to do. like HST's and 4 patches. i needed 240 of each of them and just kept doing a few at a time. the quilt is made with using only 2 cuts, 2 inch and 3.5 inch strips. it is entirely only 2 blocks, the 'monkey wrench, churn dash' whatever you want to call it, and the 54-40 or fight block. you need the tri-recs tool to do the triangle blocks, and the F & P half and quarter ruler i finally learned how to use and it is always by my side now! no more trimming up HSTs with that! it is a SNAP to make them! a solstice quilt is in my bucket list too now after doing this one. and my quilts will be mostly scrappy this year. i think i really like Bonnie Hunter! thank you alla gain so much for the compliments; you have really made me feel special today and i thank you all.

Your quilt is beautiful and absolutely worth all the cutting and piecing that you had to do. Nice work.
