Default My new bag

Now that I am retired from the workforce hubs and I are doing a bit of "day tripping" and a handbag is no longer able to fit in all those necessary items as well as "just in case" items so it was time to go to the design board and draw up a pattern for a messenger bag that will hold all that I need. I have given it a trial run at home and everything fits in with its special place. I put a pocket on the back to hold my Ipad should I take it with me as well as two pockets on the inside to fit glasses, tissues, water bottle and umbrella. I put a removable base in so it can be easily washed and to give it firmness. and the weight is distributed evenly across my body. I knew when I saw this postcard fabric that it would be perfect for my new bag.

Thank you for looking.

Beautiful! I can see me loading it down so that it would be too heavy to carry. Enjoy your retirement.

...wonderful bag and the fabric is really special!! My hubs always needs his own bag to fill up....will you be making him one a little bit bigger! It can always start out empty! As your bag gets too heavy you can hide the stuff out of yours in his for a little while at least til you get back to the car!! Ha ha ha!

What a cute bag. I know you will enjoy it as you enter the retired community. So much to do and see.
