DH and I went to Nashville early last May. We loved it! What a wonderful city. Stayed in town near the Hall of Fame and Ryman theater. Lots or restaurants and of course Broadway where all the up and comers are playing. Drove over to the Grand Olde Opry. Sat in the balcony first row middle. Excellent. Went on the Andrew Jackson steamboat and visited Fontanel Mansion ( was Barbara Mandrel's home). So many more things to do. Can't wait to go back!

I live an hour outside Nashville. Only time I have been there was for New Years Eve and to pick up or drop off my kids to or from deployment. Would go during the spring, early summer or fall. Gets very hot down here in the summer. There is a lot of historical sites to see. Also Paducah is only 1 and 1/2 hours north.

Thank-you for all the wonderful tips on Nashville (hotels, steamboat, Fontanel Mansion, Broadway. etc.)
As for Paducah......she is not a quilter. She made her granddaughters sleeping gowns for Christmas. But maybe I can talk her into it and turn her into a quilter when she sees all the beautiful fabric. I have never been there but would like to go and what better time when we are so close.
.
Thanks again and will keep checking back for more hints and tips. We are still deciding when to go. May sounds good...but fall is my favorite time of year with all the beautiful fall colors...so just might go then.
Have a great day everyone.
