Looking For Suggestions For FAST Quilts
#11
D9P has already been suggested. I made one with 10" squares. That went fast.
Another I made quickly was a brick quilt - 6.5 x 18.5" bricks, and moving the next row 1/3 the way across the first row brick. You could also move the fabrics half way across. I had sorted my fabrics into blue/green, brown/black, and lighter shades of those two groups and made a pattern alternating dark to light to dark to light across the row of bricks. I finished this one in a week while working full time and packing for a trip, including quilting.

A quick quilt I made recently was double slice layer cake. You can use packs of layer cakes or do what I did--which was to cut my own 10" squares. You can watch teh Tutorial on Missouri Star Quilt Company. That is where I found out how to make it. It really is a quick quilt to make and "looks" more complex than it is when it is completed.

I am so sorry to hear that! I will keep her in my prayers. You might find a bright, festive panel and then border it in her favorite colors. This would be fast but a great buy for someone else. Good luck!
