I wish we had quilt shops around here. I want to move. lol lol All the fabric shops we have here is Wal-mart and Joann's. So on line is always good here to but then you have to wait for the material to come. Guess I have no patience.

CKCowl I've been to the Quilt shop in IndianRiver MI and it is everything you said it is except it is about 4-5 hours from where I live. When we get up to the upper of MI I like to stop in there. I like going to Sisters in Quilting in Marlette MI. Brett and Deb are wonderful and their shop is so inviting. When we go visit my MIL in Alma MI I have my hubby stop at Seven Sisters Quilt shop in CArson City. It too is a great shop. I only wish we had some of these closer to me.

Only one privately owned quilt store here. The others are from 40 - 100 miles away, (the closest). No fabric stores at all here or closer than 150 miles away. We do have a Walmart with fabrics here and that's it.

REtired Fire Chief I've been to those stores too. We have many wonderful shops in Michigan. A couple of summers ago my hubby & I did a quilt tour through MI. At every shop we stopped I took a pic of the inside of the store and the outside with their sign and put together a virtual Power Point shop hop for my guild. It was alot of fun and the members enjoyed it.

I also live in the Maryville area and I love Pappy's too. I like Mountain Creek in Greenback too, but they are very limited in space. But they do have a nice selection and very good pricing.

My favorite online store is Missouri Star. I love the store, the huge selection and the wonderful people that own the shop. Their employees are so helpful and the friendliest you will find anywhere. If you ever get a chance to visit the shop, you won't be disappointed! Great selection and huge selection of fabric.

Mine is whatever store I am in at that time. Living near Indianapolis, there are lots to go to. Quilt Plus is running over with fabric. Quilt Quarters is big, The Back Door is fun, and when I can I drive over to Threads of Time. There are in Danville, Ill. Then I have to stop in Rossville. My husband will drive me anywhere I want. Sometimes he picks the stores he finds on line. The other day we drove down to Bloomington.

I live in the area and go to MidSouth sewing. They have classes and sewing groups and clubs. They are very helpful and have wonderful customer service.
