I'm a fan of the blue also. You did a fabulous job figuring out an easy pattern for this great fabric. Don't you love it when what you envision works?!

I just have to ask for a little more info. Did you cut a strip the length of your fabric, then cut that into squares? Or did you cut across the width of the fabric before making your squares? It seems it would have to be the length to get the pattern to match, but I just cannot wrap my mind around how you did this.

I have been trying to search online for a book about using this type of fabric, and also stripes, but having no luck. I am not good at doing successful searches, for some reason. LOL

I like the way you used the fabric to make the chevrons. Very pretty and intricate. Makes the blocks look very detailed and like they took forever to make. Very nice work.

As for the border, if it looks one way by looking at it, and another with a picture, only you can decide which to use. I would likely use what looks good to the eye as looking at a picture isn't going to help when the quilt is in your hands or right in front of you. But that decision is yours. Trust your own judgement. You'll do fine.

I think I like the blue rather than the green, but I might also add a narrow rust color. The quilt is awesome - great job.

This is lovely. I like your idea of another way to make something so pretty from something we may not have purchased. I love the lighter blue for the border as it really picks the light blue in the block. Pretty green but did not see any in the block. Great Design and artistry. Helen Marvel
