Checking in to see if any progress has been made in locating my center? I am loosing hope of it being found....was the postal receipt ever found so we can track it? C joyce...do you have a picture of your round. I would love to see what you did....might be the only time I get to see it....

I will be working on completing my round on musicaljan's top in the morning for National Quilt day. Hope to have it finished and ready to mail. I like my round better than the original one I posted. Will post pics when it is ready. Happy sewing!

I believe the center I received last week is cjoyce's quilt- I will not be able to do anything with it until the beginning of April- everything in my sewing room is packed up & covered- the room is going under construction on the 29th (I had originally been told the 4th-so had to get everything packed up-put away- then that was set back...so, I am out of 'commission' for a couple weeks yet- I did open it up & look at it- then carefully packed it away safely so it won't be subjected to drywall dust & all that. it will give me some time to 'ponder' what to do next to it. but, it will be late getting out. will give a progress report the first week of April.

Alikat110, sorry that I have not answered in a while. I will begin again in earnest to find the post office receipt - I looked everywhere I usually put these things and have been asking St. Anthony for help too. Our 4 month old granddaughter had heart surgery on Wed. 3/12 to close 2 holes in her heart and we've been away for a week. She is doing well now and I can think of other things. I did not take a picture of it before I sent it off. If I fail to find the receipt and the package does not surface, I will gladly reimburse you for your materials and time into the project. I should have been more diligent in following up with musicaljan that package was received.

C joyce....I know how you feel about your DGD. If it helps...my nephew had a similar surgery when he was 3-4 months old. He is now a healthy happy 15 year old with no health issues ( not counting his newly fractured collar bone when attempting a combat roll). I would not expect reimbursement for my fabrics...it was sewn with scraps. I was just hoping to get a great quilt made with wonderful people in this group. ( I sound like a pathetic sap don't I?) I am still enjoying the creativeness of trying patterns I haven't done before. Didn't get much sewing done like I wanted too this weekend. Some progress on my new round, but not enough to post.Life got in the way....will try again next weekend.
hope everyone is getting rounds done and ready to mail!

Thank you so much ladies for doing your best to find Alikats top. My family has had a medical emergency also. Last week my mother had to call 911 and have my father taken to the hospital. His kidneys had completely shut down. They were able to stop his body from completely going in to renal failure. They have slowly been bringing him back around and his kidneys are working at 100% now. He has many residual side effects from this so yesterday evening they transferred him to a rehab facility to reintroduce his medicine under doctors care and for him to receive physical and occupation therapies. I had to stay at home two hours away because I have a compromised immune system and ICU/hospitals is a place I can not be unless it's for my own medical needs. I am going down on Friday to spend ten days visiting my father in the rehab facility. I will also be trying to get mom to sew with me too. So Please if you can keep my family in your prayers I would appreciate it. Thanks for listening as I haven't really shared this with many.

Joyce that looks beautiful. This will be a lap quilt or wall hanging at moms house.
Wanda thank you for all the prayers
Alikat honestly I am so glad that you and I have become friends. You are wonderful and I feel horrible about your center top
Dad is still getting better. We are hoping he can come home next week but we don't want to push him before he is really ready. I know my family appreciates all prayers

Nexxus831...your top might already be past the lap quilt phase as it already almost completely covers the top of a queen sized bed. You're headed for a very large wall hanging or a very generously sized lap quilt.
