That's a super cute quilt, SandyinZ4. What a journey.... it's going to be a well loved treasure, I'm sure. Be sure to post it here when you get it bound, okay. Another finish is always good to see.

Great finishes! I completed 8 more totes for Sadie's Dream for the Cure. I now have 8 more to go which will give me 3 more than my planned goal of 20. I decided to use up my fusible interfacing so I didn't need to store it. It's a great feeling to use up some of my stash even if it is small.

Hello everyone. Everyone was very hard at work in March. As I look through the pictures of everyone's work, I continue to be impressed with the workmanship, the color choices, the patterns, etc. You all make me want to continue to improve. There is such a store of knowledge here on the Board, I don't believe there is a day that goes by that I don't learn something new!

So, for March we had 34 finishes, bringing our total for the first three months of 2014 up to 98!!! Amazing job, everyone!!!

I've been sitting here catching up on this thread and have to keep stopping to catch my breath! I wish I could say I finished something in March, but... That is unless crochet potholders and knitted dishcloths count?
Well new month, new start!

Great job all! Seems like I'm creating more UFO's or are they still WIPS?

Default March Finshes

A comfort quilt for a church member, a RR quilt for a friend, and a flannel quilt for a grandangel! I also complete my first ever hand-quilted wall hanging...it was for practice and I have not taken a picture of it yet! It is not done real well, but I do have calluses on two of my "underneath" fingers!

OK: I'm right there with you but I am having fun. I think that's all that counts. Still not giving up on my UFOs, when this starting frenzy is over they will be waiting for me. Giggle: What great quilts. Love strings. Congrats on all your productivity!

missgigglewings, are you trying to set the bar higher? Three quilts already this month..... more than I can accomplish at this point. You're being very productive. Great quilts, too. I think I favor the stripped one the most. I really want to make a scrappy quilt but have such a hard time using random fabrics..... I know, it's OCD probably. I really love the look.... just stress out so much when I try to do it. Maybe, someday. The train quilt must be for someone special.... cute. And the last one, what is it called? ....looks like such a cuddly one.

Emma, not to worry. Every UFO has its own time schedule and you'll get to them. You have to design and create when the mood strikes..... and finish UFOs when you get a lull. You make beautiful quilts.... am anxious to see some more of them when you are ready. I still have a couple, too, and they are calling me. It's getting close to time to head back to the cabin.... the UFOs might just have to be finished there this summer if I don't get in gear quickly. Of course, I'm waiting for snow to melt ..... still 30" at last check.

Keep 'em coming everybody. This UFO train is on a roll....

I may not be in the monthly race but I did get a UFO finished - a REALLY OLD UFO. My husband's great-grandmother made the top from scraps of clothing and unbleached muslin. I inherited it from MIL. It needed to be quilted by hand which is a weakness in my ability. Found flour sacks for the backing and decided to do big-stitch quilting with red perle cotton embroidery floss. It was slow going because all those seams forced me to do stab-stitch. In the end, I am pleased with the results - as is my DH.

Mad Quilter, that is so neat! I also have a quilt top I inherited that was pieced by my husband's grandmother and I am also a weak hand quilter. Thanks for giving me hope that I can also finish mine.
