One more comment to make about using more "advanced" solvents. Remember that once the machine is loose you want to put OIL in those places and the solvents must be 100% gone or your oil will get broken down just like the gunky oil did (only easier)

This is my "go to" for all stuck stuff. Its called "goo Gone" . You can find it just about anywhere. I've tried the off brands and they just don't have the push to get things UnStuck. Hope this helps you.

That's a truly beautiful machine and I think you're on the right track. Be patient. It took a long time for that oil to dry and harden, it can take a long time to loosen it up it too. After the solvents have done their job just keep flooding the joints with oil for a few days. that will flush the solvents out of the joints.
