here is new pics

this is the actual condition of the work. notice that if the flash were a diluent or soap, it was powerful.
the little parts you see are more more dirty than in pic the bobbin is ready for sewing, but the same thread seems black nylon. I wonder who and when winded this last bobbin.....
an see we removed the long piece connecting the sticky shuttle carrier to the biggest piece (what is its name? I forgot...) so the shuttle and its carrier are free to get a bath
now I went to the mistery:
the big piece now can move and rotate. it transmit movement to the feed dog.
the group needlebar presser foot, is away, searching a bathtub
the couple od cog wheels does work
BUT
the vertical shaft can't rotate
I only move the big piece with my hand
or the cog wheels by handcrank
what you say about? I re post one of the yesterday pics..

here is the two cog wheels and the vertical shaft, marked by a green arrow. it can't rotate..sleeping
why? ciao to all you cristiana

NEVER let a sewing machine know you are in a hurry.
Miriam , this your motto is a great explanation. I think the machine want to play with us. I'm a little afraid of flame.
Steeve, I couldn't see nothing.
even still super dirty the gears work they worked soon, and quite well for this condition.
the stuff that DON'T work is the vertical shaft, it does not comunicate the movement from the gears to big pie slice!
would someone be so kind to say its true name.?
the pie works too, with dirtiness friction but it works. the energy, however, must be my hand, so I can do a very good gymnastic for control both things
paolo tighten the screws, in the gears and in the pie for make them super linked to the axis. I don't agree. screws can begin worn
I had something similar with a little chainsticth, but sometime ago. one must write. the history was very more simple but I noticed that it was not necessary tighten the screw too much.
perhaps the 'useful' dirtiness is hidden behind the pie, and under the verical shaft, very difficult to reach without disassemble all. another I think is it would be better reassemble all so the parts enter in the right force relation....
if the shaft is jammed in its basis, the gears can't move it....see you soon
look at my eyes

Hi and welcome from North Dakota. You have a very nice machine. Take care not to put stuff on the decals to take them away. Yes that dirty old oil is hiding in every nook and cranny and till it all loosens up it won't go right. Don't force or you might break something and then will be no good at all. I used Tri flow on my machines and it didn't take long to get that old oil going out to clean with swabs or cotton balls, toothpicks to clean some of the gunk off. Amy

thank you, Amy. in effect, constancy and patience are the best diluents. do you think the vertical axis is only stuck by gum. gum is very strong, it may be able to contrast the handcrank and the pie slice in two opposite sides, do you think?
