As I stated above I am making lap robes for a Veterans hospital and would like to find a lot of the one patch quilts patterns. if anyone has any ideas please, oh please let me know. Thanks ahead of time for taking time to read this post.

Hi and welcome to the board. Not sure exactly what you are asking for. Are you looking for quilt patterns all made from a single patch, like all squares or all HSTs? or are you looking for single block patterns, where the quilt top is basically a giant single block, like this:

if you're looking for a pattern of one block, just enlarge one block, that easy.

The Carpenter Star pattern is a great one block pattern. If you want it longer than it is wide, you can adjust your borders. There is a tute on the board also. http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...t-t152544.html . Divide your desired size by 8 and you have your finished block size.

No need for a pattern. Wide strips across...vary the depth of the strips. Throw in some kids prints. Vets love that.

Or smaller and shorter strips sewn diagonal qayg on a 12" block or any size block.

A checkerboard top is quick and easy. Two fabrics, all strip piecing and it's done almost before you start it.

If you want real quick and easy, you want a rag quilt (or "raggedy"). These flannel quilts can be as colorful or traditional as you choose with each block just a square of fabric, quilt as you go. Google the instructions; even I can make one in a weekend, start to finish: there is no binding!
The first I made was for my great uncle, a vet of WWII, and he loved it.

Our local Project Linus group meets at The Quilt Asylum in McKinney 4 times a year. I'm very curious why they don't use batting as well. My guess is that it's meant more as a cover, than for warmth.
