Oh - that has to hurt - I hope your DH's ankle heals quickly. Meanwhile he is sure to appreciate the beautiful quilt you made for him.
My goodness - Calgary still has snow coming down? My brother lives in Fairbanks and I do believe that it is warmer there.

Your quilt is beautiful. Love the fabrics and the design. A civil war reproduction quilt is on my list to do ... have the material ... just need to find the time. I grew up in a house that was pre civil war. The house was moved in 1911 to it's present location and they then owners added on to the house. attached a couple of pictures. I love the stone fences and this old house. It's in upstate New York. Your quilt has certainly inspired me. Thank you for posting the pictures.
My regards to your hubby .. hope he is healing well and enjoying his quilt.
