Organ needles vs Schmetz needles

As Mirlam told her about her experience with organ needles, you have to be careful when you are searching for items that are just too cheap to pass up. Would you buy cheap gas or oil for your car??
When I bought my Bernina, it came with Schmetz needles and I have never had a problem with any of their needles. Thanks for the update Jan. Thought they were still made in Germany. Quality control is not up to our high standards in third world countries. That why I pay MORE for my Rowenta iron to be sure it was made in Germany. The less expensive ones I have noticed are made in China. So just be carefully. Some of you have expensive sewing machines.

I only use Organ needles. Not only are they great needles at an affordable price, they also are easier to thread. The eye is not larger, but slightly more rounded and cut cleaner when I compared them with a magnify lens. I use them with all my machines - Brother, Pfaff, Janome.

I bought a German Rowenta iron. Failed in 6 months. I sent it for service and got it back a couple weeks later. The tank/pump failed again at 1 year when it was now out of warranty. It's been retired now for just dry ironing. Ugh!

I always have a box of Organ universal needles x 100 in my kit for classes and groups, they are cheap and really good needles. I must admit at home I prefer to use Schmetz topstitch needles for my own quilting needs.
