I am going to make some for my mom and the other patients where she lives. Thanks so much for the idea.

I just made a new one, I was asked if i could make a "Nesteldecke" for her mother, she liked to sew and so I took some fabric with sewing material on!

And last time I got very nice confirmations how well these blankets are for dementia patients, some of them won't let them even out of their hands!

When I read in the internet that "Quilters Newsletter" No. 440 had an article about "fidget quilts" or as we say over here "Nesteldecken" I ordered this magazine! And today I got it and I found out that there are no big differences between these quilts made in USA or made in Germany! And once again I can tell that we get very nice feedbacks how useful these quilts are for the patients!
If someone is interested in this theme have a look at this magazine!

A new idea I found on pinterest: "fidget aprons": as many patients with dementia walking around all day they can take the "twiddeling things" with them on their way! I asked for aprons and made three of them to "fidget aprons", then I gave them to a home where they care for such patients. And I asked them to give me some feedback!

This is brilliant and so thoughtful! I have an elderly friend who would love something like this. Guess I'll need to try my hand at it!
