That quilt is beautiful and now is filled with so many memories is good that you hung in there despite so many hard ships. My mom never had anything nice to say about my gifts or sewing but I found out later how she would brag to her friends I know that doesn't help but they might be the same way figuring they have to point out all of the mistakes so that you get better.

The quilt is so pretty and so thoughtful.
I made my parents a simple pattern quilt using period fabrics for their 50th wedding and she told my SIL it was UGLY and it was to be returned to me. I gave it to the SIL as I could not handle having it after she said that and returned it.
That is who she was and we were never close after that, she backed away from me.

First, my condolences on the loss of your MIL, following the loss of your Avalanche to say nothing of the damage to the garage. I' sorry that you Mom didn't appreciate all the work you did on that beautiful quilt, and it is beautiful. You really are blessed to have such good friends to help you out and I'm glad that you DS and DGS were able to stay a week with you. Many blessings with a new grand child on the way, how fortunate.

You. ROCK. It doesn't have anything about it that says rookie. You're an accomplished quilter now and forever! Now that you and your family has passed some of the tests of life... Tree falling , death and so forth.... Put on a smile and greet each day with gratitude for everything you have and are. Can't wait to see and hear more from you. Have a great day , week and month.

Beautiful quilt! I am so sorry about all the troubles you have had recently but it sounds like the sunshine is coming through. I do understand about your mother; mine was the same way.

Your quilt is just lovely, love the pattern. So sorry about all the problems, sometimes it seems it doesn't rain but pours. Hope things get better.
