Jill: Perfect, such a great combination of shapes and colors. I would sure be on that porch a great deal of the time, looks like a perfect place to hang out and watch the world go by. Someday I hope to get back to my idea of an applique center. Have yet to get started on the next round of my medallion. I am going to do Jabba's flying geese both because I like the way it looks and to try a new (to me) method. The only thing I really have to do is decide on the fabric.

Hello World! I am sorta back! I got over tired, over done and well.. quit the world for a short while. I am healing rather well, a bit of memory flop every so often (read this morning Paralegal on the internet, turned my head and went PARALLELAGRAM? and well you can see where things go wrong here..). I work hard every day to recover however. Slow thing this and my patience with it seems so limited. cranky pants? why that could be my name! sigh.

I love your quilts. Everyone deserves a grand TADA! you did it! you have made something amazing, are working hard on finishing what you have and I couldn't be happier myself. Jan has done a superb job in my magic act of disappearance and I am ever so thankful. applause for her! I have done that one round the ribbon from quilting board but the colors I chose are awful for the quilt. Grand for something else, no good for the brightness of my quilt. I am in the process of cutting and starting over with a simplier and easier round that works with the quilt so I can finish it. I will post pictures. So excited took out my camera card put it in the computer, downloaded new pictures.. they are not there. HUH? now what did I do? took the darned pictures. lost in a sea of confusion. So I will have to try again to show you the round I did that just.. didn't work. and what I am coming up with. I have decided this is the project to work on this week so going to give it my all to finish by the weekends end and post my successful end to my quilt.

Elisabrat: I've missed you. My thoughts have been with you, wondering how your doing health wise and in your new place. Seems to me that you are going through some difficult times. Your road is not an easy one, how about cutting yourself a serious amount of slack?

Love seeing everyone's quilts coming along. I am so glad to see you are back, Brat. You have been in my thoughts a ton! Please do take it easy. We all want to keep seeing you on the QB. As for me, I am so far behind, I think I am in first place, after our trip to present cat quilt to granddaughter. Haven't even had time to get into sewing room. Hope everyone can find more time to keep sewing than I can right now. Love all the finishes!

Been working on idea's for the next border and did come up with 1 yesterday for the blue "squiggly" print quilt. I made another 6" round because I'm running out of the blue batik and wouldn't have enough for a final round on it. As it is I may be short for the 4 corners, we'll see. Just drew out an idea for the turquoise one and will see how it looks when I go to the sewing room. Going to try and make some progress today. Will check back later, have a great day ladies...beautiful weather here today!

Jill, That is so gorgeous! I think the blue border was a good ending because it sends the eye in rather than drawing it out. I'm going to remember that. Your lawn looks so beautiful. My husband does ours. He has Alzheimers but likes to mow so ours looks like a drunken sailor has been out. But, we live in the country and not many see it so we don't have to keep up with the neighbors. But I'm a detail person and it's been hard to let go, even of the lawn.

Brat, So glad you're back and that the dust has settled a little.

Jaba, I'm running out of fabric too so my next border is going to be simple blocks. I work a little each day but the weeds are calling.

So glad that you are back, Brat. I am sorry that you have been MIA for sickness. That's a real downer and then to not remember and to feel foggy, is just the worst. Glad you are slowly recuperating. Take good care of yourself. Miss your humor.

Whitepine, sorry that your husband has that issue. I think often of the book "The Long Goodbye". It truly is and so painful for both. I would think it is something that he feels that he can do and control when the rest of the world is spinning away. I have a really good friend who is just 64 and due to a brain bleed, they had to operate and then found the tangles. She was a crack ER RN and so smart. Just makes me weep for her, but she is doing pretty well.

Working on my next round of blocks. I am sure hoping to get this round wrapped up this afternoon so I can do (and think about) something else. Will wait to see what is proposed for the next round, but here it might just been framing strips around the whole thing. Everyone take care and am anxious to see more pix.

Hugs to Brat and Whitepine......we all have our challenges, don't we? And I think the fact that we are all quilting right through them says a lot about this "hobby".....take a deep breath, Brat, and put your feet up and restore when you need to. That's what my swing is for! My Mom had alzh., and it was a very long and difficult road for her. Glad your husband is able to find enjoyment mowing! We are in the country, and he is welcome to come mow any time he wants to! My husband is a newly retired CPA, thus the straight mowing lines....says a lot about him, eh?

Quilting keeps me busy and my mind occupied, and I am grateful for that! My vision has been deteriorating rapidly over the last month or two....but only in one eye, so that is a blessing. Another specialist at the end of June, and hoping to have some experimental surgery in August. So if my seams are a little "off", its not cuz I am sipping too much wine....just WHINE! Ha.

The rain has finally stopped here, the sun is out, and we hope to finally get the garden planted this weekend. Yay! DIL graduates from Med school tomorrow night (our son is a 3rd year med student), and nephews are grad. from high school this weekend,all out of town, so there won't be any quilting going on here for a while! Stay safe and hug your loved ones tight!

Jill, so sorry you are having vision problems. I can so relate. Just having a problem today with getting the seams lined up because in dark fabric, I can't see the doggoned things very well. I am on the whine, too. But congratulations on all the graduations. Wow, you won't have far to go for medical help.

Here is mine. Emma, I may have to quit now. It is 78 by 96 and I have run out of room, patience, and time. I just hope it doesn't give Brat a setback with all the cream, but didn't know where else I would ever use them so here they are anyway. [ATTACH=CONFIG]476450[/ATTACH]
