My mom never did any sewing, crocheting or knitting. My grandmother was very talented but I never knew her. She died when I was a baby. Mom did do a lot of crafts. When dad retired and they moved here to Florida, she started doing ceramics. We all had ceramics coming out of our ears. I've kept some special pieces and still have 3 large ceramic Christmas trees and two small ones. In her later years she was very hard of hearing and had macular (sp?) degeneration and couldn't see very well. All she did was sit on a couch all day doing nothing. She couldn't read and couldn't see or hear the TV. It was very lonely for her after dad died and I was working. I sure do miss her.

Got my PINCUSHION from Scrapper today. Thank you sooo much Scrapper.
It's finely made and stuffed really well with walnut shells in my favorite shades of aqua.
Firmly stuffed pincushions are my favorite, they work the best. Along with this,
she also sent me long pins to decorate, a whole pack of them!.
thank you soooo much again Scrapper.

I hope your husband is doing better.

This is my beautiful May needlebook from Scrapper. Thank you so much. It is beautiful and has a pretty vintage button on the front. Aqua and purple are 2 of my most favorite colors. She also sent a really pretty purple F.Q.. I had some like it and used it all about 2 months ago. I was so glad to have received more. The note paper is embossed and has some pretty tea cups and flowers on it. The edging looks like real lace cutwork.First picture shows more true in colors . Second picture shows the pretty note paper better. A very nice package and well worth the short wait. Hope all is better now.

Red That sure was a lot of hail. It looks like white stones for a ground cover in your beds. I haven't seen that much hail here. One year we had some hail damage and I got a new roof for the house, garage, and a new awning for my screened in porch. My hostas are huge this year and I have to keep pulling out more Bee Balm.

Mary What a nice needlecase you got from Scrapper. I had a piece of pink batik just like it.

Weather was nice today so I could get some groceries. I even stopped at Hobby Lobby. Tomorrow yard sales

That is a very pretty needlecase that Scrapper made. Pretty button closure too. I really like the note paper too, and it reminds me of a Victorian Style, and I love that style. The fat quarter is such a rich pretty purple. What a great package.

lynnie your pincushion must be beautiful too. How nice to also receive the long pins we were all talking about.
Another wonderful package.

Pat how do you pick the yard sales? Do you go from the paper, or just watch while you drive? It doesn't seem like there have been very many this year.

not many around here lately. i'm hoping for a few. i need some 'stuff'.

My hostas are going crazy, like weeds. i can't even pull those darn things.
they are in there so tight. i may send hostas with my next swap partner swaper
I can get rid of 3/4 of them and still have alot left. new swap stuff starts soon.
