Default Free Motion Fun Day !

For a while now, I have had an idea of making an entire quilt out of different ” practice ” panels from when I am playing with Free Motion Quilting designs. So the other night, I cut up some practice sheets that I got from Goodwill a while ago, sandwiched them with some scrap batting and set them aside. Today I finally sat down at the machine and just had fun !

( excuse the coloring on most of these, as my studio lighting is not good ! )

I did my standard stipple, because what quilt would be complete without SOME stippling !

Pebbles are a personal favorite of mine !

    Wavy lines !

Mixing things up ! Right now it is a tie between this and the pebbles for my favorite.

and last and very much least , haha, my very sad excuse for FMQ feathers ! This one did not make the cut to be included in the final product LOL !

I can not wait to make up some more sandwiches and play some more , I love playing with shapes and textures !

Nice! Isn't it fun to practice? Wood grain is my new favorite. Funny thing, I was just watching a YouTube yesterday (Leah Day I think) and she was showing how to put the practice pieces together to make a quilt.
